  • NE is born out of Munish’s idea of creating an ideal academic and industry interface. Munish is currently Director General of MIT Group of Institutions, Aurangabad, [http://www.mit.asia/] where he handles affairs of 19 institutes and 5 centers of learning at multiple locations in India.

  • MIT offers wide range of courses for under graduation, graduation, post graduation level in faculty of - engineering & technology, management, architecture, science and nursing. More than 12000 full time & 2500 part time students are on different campuses for primary to post graduate education and vocational training.

  • As a professional valuer Munish has carried out critical assignments of valuation of public sector undertaking for “Dis-investment purpose” on behalf of the Central Government India. Munish completed his B.E. in Civil engineering and Masters in Valuation, Specialization in Plant & Machinery.

Sanjay Deshmukh - Co-founder, Director, Nurture Earth Research and Development Pvt. Ltd.

  • Sanjay collaborates with various teams to co-create innovative technologies, products and solutions and takes these to commercialization level to serve unmet market needs.

  • As a Director and Co-Founder of Nurture Earth, Sanjay is involved in strategic planning, business development, product development, managing operations, marketing, investment funding, and cultivating strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Also, he has launched business initiatives from the initial conception, through proof of concept, pilot stage, design, engineering, development, production, validation, testing to taken to commercialization stage. In addition, he manages cross-functional teams, communications, and partnership relationships between global companies.
  • He is the co-inventor, along with Dr Ravi Pottathil, of IO-Mega, an algae to omega 3 process. The activities encompass directing the IO-Mega development initiatives that enabled the patent pending process to grow, harvest, dewater, and dry algae for the extraction of omega 3 oils. The patent application for algae to omega 3 processes has been filed. A PCT is being filed for a new optimized fermentation concept that will provide higher yields while reducing Capex and Opex.
  • Sanjay has worked to co-develop the biodiesel technology from lab to commercial scale which can convert various feedstocks including waste/ recycled oils economically into biodiesel. He invented a low energy intensive new process for solvents recovery. In addition, he developed a new continuous reactor that provides a substantial cost savings, allowing for operational efficiency improvements in biodiesel production and other similar applications.
  • He has worked in software, capital goods, and light engineering industries.
  • As a co-inventor at TAS, he managed, developed, and built a technology platform, as well as directed the development of solutions for information analysis. As a co-inventor of the text analytics platform, he also has an international patent to his credit. He worked with founders of TAS [http://www.textualanalytics.com/] from pre-inception stage to commercial launch, growing it to a “technology product vendor with an innovative platform, providing end-to-end infrastructure for information processing and analysis”.
  • As an entrepreneur, one of his earlier initiatives was “Development of water vending machines” for a leading water treatment company; “HCV, MCV, LCV engine assembly line layout, and equipment builds” for a commercial vehicle manufacturer, automotive engine assembly and in process testing machines among others.
  • He also managed an Indo-Australian JV as a profit center, served on a hospital waste management committee in Mumbai as well as advised SMEs for product and business development.

Bijlee Deshmukh - Co-founder, Director

  • Bijlee is facilitating NE’s contact with the academic world and guiding its infrastructure development. Bijlee is currently, Director Infrastructure, of MIT group of institutes as well trustee of GSM Trust. She is also Trustee, Promoter of MIT [http://www.mit.asia/] having 19 institutes and 5 centers of learning at multiple locations in India.

  • She is also an External Examiner and Recognized Guide of Shivaji University, Kolhapur for PG students. She has written study material on Building Construction & Maintenance for Post Graduate Programme in Real Estate for Dr. B S Ambedkar Open University, Ahmedabad and Shivaji University, Kohlapur.
  • Her papers on Environmental issues have been presented in national and international forums. She is a Member of Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi, Member of Institute of Engineers (IS), Kolkata, Member of American Society of Civil Engineering (IS), Kolkata, Life Member and Executive Member (2007-08 & 2009-09) of Indian Society of Ecological Environment, New Delhi. She completed her B.E. in Civil engineering and Masters in Valuation, Specialization in Plant & Machinery. She is pursuing her PhD and submitted her thesis on “sustainable urban development of Aurangabad through environmental management”.
